Ok just finished! That was a simultaneous good laugh and cry in totally agreement with your feeling. Your sensitivity is valid and felt by others, others being me!😂 Ohhhhh I love that you shared this 🥹 honest motherhood stories is what we need. Thank you thank you! If you have a full list of the books / essays on motherhood that you have read im totally interested!
Thank you so much for reading! I want to do more of starting or engaging in the conversations I want to see more of and this is definitely one of them. I both love and hate that it resonated with you! One read that instantly came to mind was Regretting Motherhood - it was a research study or interview series about women's thoughts on motherhood.
Ugh, I feel for single moms because, technically, I am single, but I am far from doing this alone. I can't image how I'd get along doing so. Sending you so much love.
Hi Ashleigh! So sorry to be so behind on my reading! I've been thrown into that phase with my three little (big) darlings. Thankfully I think we've moved towards graduation from the incomprehensible tears and fits... My youngest is 15, then I have an 18 year old, and a 21 year old. Sometimes I didn't like them! Sometimes I did find them incredibly infuriating, and I have to remind myself still, now that they're in their own phases of entering adulthood, they're still going to piss me off once in awhile with bonehead choices and hissy fits. My mother in law gave me the best wisdom once when I was particularly wanting to get off the mom train-- "don't worry, no matter what you do, they'll turn out." Momming is a messy business, and sometimes we want to scrub our hands of it, be through. But, all kids turn out. Into what, I can't tell you. But my three have turned out well, and I remember this wisdom too-- "you never get to stop being mom, however old they are." I'm really far from a perfect mom, I'm pretty sure I've never met a perfect mom. We all question ourselves, eat the damn sandwiches, want to lock the door and cry for awhile.
Thanks for your brave post. It's not easy to throw imperfection as a parent out there.
I didn’t read this yet I just saw the title and thought “yeah she been acting real sus lately” 😭
Like, where is the gratitude?!
And that’s ok! lol

Keep it up! I’m here for it.
This was SO relatable, thank you so much for sharing this realness
Thank you Sarah!
I 100% feel this, Ashleigh. These kinds of experiences are so hard, and more common than we hear about. Thank you for your vulnerability.
Thank you A! I miss connecting with you, I hope to be back active soon!
Take your time! 🧡
I feel this, especially as a single mom with an absent sperm donor.

I'm doing my best. That's all I can do really.
Mines 4 too and the food preferences are giving me whiplash!!! This was a golden letter, Ashleigh. Relatable ✔️, Funny ✔️, Deep Truths ✔️
Thank you K! Lol these fournagers will not defeat us!

Thank you so much Megan! I really appreciate you sharing this. I'm feeling a bit better about her these days, especially with so much time away.
Oh I am so glad to hear that you're feeling a bit better. It's tough!
